Question 1

Is PayID available at all Australian online casinos?

Accepted Answer

No, not every online casino that accepts Australian players supports PayID. The payment method has been widely adopted since the mid-2020s, but some older platforms still rely on credit cards, BPAY, or e-wallets as their primary deposit options. Before registering at a casino, check the cashier or payment methods page specifically for PayID. Our recommended platform list at this partner page only features casinos with confirmed PayID availability.

Question 2

How long does a PayID deposit take to appear in my casino account?

Accepted Answer

In the vast majority of cases, a PayID deposit will appear in your casino account within 30 to 60 seconds of initiating the transfer from your banking app. The transaction processes in real time through the New Payments Platform (NPP). Occasional delays of 2–5 minutes can occur during periods of high network load or if your casino's payment processor requires manual review — but this is uncommon. If your deposit hasn't appeared after 10 minutes, contact the casino's live chat with your bank's transaction reference number.

Question 3

Can I withdraw my pokies winnings back to a PayID?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is one of PayID's standout advantages for pokies players. Many casinos allow you to withdraw directly to your PayID (your linked bank account) with processing times ranging from a few minutes to a few hours depending on the casino's internal review process. This is significantly faster than traditional bank transfer withdrawals, which typically take 2–5 business days. When requesting a withdrawal, simply enter your PayID (usually your mobile number) and the casino sends funds directly to your linked account.

Question 4

Are there fees for using PayID to deposit at pokies sites?

Accepted Answer

PayID itself is fee-free — the New Payments Platform does not charge transaction fees for standard transfers. Your bank may have its own fee structure for Pay Anyone transfers, though most major Australian banks (Commonwealth, ANZ, Westpac, NAB) do not charge for PayID transactions. From the casino's side, PayID deposits are almost universally processed without additional charges. Always double-check the casino's banking page to confirm no surcharges apply, but PayID is one of the most cost-efficient deposit methods available to Australian players.

Question 5

What is the minimum deposit amount for PayID pokies?

Accepted Answer

Minimum deposits vary by casino but typically range from A$10 to A$25 for PayID transactions. Some casinos set lower minimums — occasionally as low as A$5 — to accommodate casual players. Your bank may also have its own minimum transfer amount for PayID payments, though this is rarely an issue for standard gaming deposits. If you're primarily interested in low-stakes sessions, look for casinos with a A$10 or lower minimum, which also tend to have pokies with flexible coin sizes starting from A$0.01 per spin.

Question 6

Do PayID deposits qualify for welcome bonuses at pokies casinos?

Accepted Answer

Almost always yes. Because PayID is a direct bank transfer — not an e-wallet or alternative payment service — it typically qualifies for every bonus and promotion at Australian online casinos, including welcome match bonuses, free spins packages, reload offers, and loyalty rewards. This is a meaningful advantage over methods like PayPal, Skrill, or Neteller, which are routinely excluded from bonus eligibility at many platforms. That said, always read the specific bonus terms before depositing, as individual casinos can set their own exclusion rules.
